Dr. Andrew Conrad Barile is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the CEO and Founder of Xtreem Pulse LLC, the engineering company behind PureLift. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemen College and is a licensed physical therapist.
He brings over two decades of clinical and entrepreneurial experience across physical therapy, craniosacral therapy and medical device innovation, built on a working knowledge of human anatomy and muscle physiology.
For PureLift LAB he reviews how current is delivered across all ten levels, from sub-sensory nanocurrent and skin-level microcurrent to motor-level EMS, and how the Infuse pass fits into the same ten-minute routine.

To get the most from PureLift Pro, use it on clean skin with a generous layer of conductive serum, warm up on level 2, work at a comfortable EMS level along each zone, and keep to four or five sessions a week for the first eight to twelve weeks.
This guide covers everything that affects results, such as:
- preparing your skin
- the right levels
- a ten minute routine
- a weekly schedule
- the mistakes to avoid
and many more!
We make PureLift Pro, and these are the habits we see make the biggest difference.
Key Points:
Clean, makeup-free skin and a wet conductive layer let the current reach the muscle.
Warm up on level 2 microcurrent, then use a comfortable EMS level from 3 upward.
A full routine takes about ten minutes, with no more than three minutes per side.
Four or five sessions a week for eight to twelve weeks, then two or three a week to maintain.
The most common mistakes are a dry serum layer, rushing and stopping too soon.
Prepare your skin
Cleanse to remove makeup, sunscreen and oil, then apply a generous layer of water-based conductive serum to one zone at a time. See our gel and serum guide.
Choose the right levels
Level 1 nanocurrent around the eyes, level 2 microcurrent to warm up, and EMS levels 3 to 10 for the main work.
Raise the level only while it stays comfortable. More on intensity is in our intensity article.
A ten minute routine
Neck sides, gliding upward.
Jawline and under the chin.
Cheeks and smile lines.
Forehead and brows, gliding upward.
Finish with an Infuse pass to help your serum absorb. The zones are in our zone guide.
A weekly schedule
Weeks one to twelve: four or five sessions a week. After that: two or three a week to maintain.
A randomized controlled trial by Kavanagh and colleagues, published in 2012, measured the effect of facial electrical stimulation after twelve weeks.
Mistakes to avoid
Letting the serum dry, which weakens the current and can sting.
Rushing the glides.
Stopping after a few weeks.
Using it on broken or irritated skin.
Morning or evening
Both work. See our morning versus evening article.
