Start on clean, dry skin, apply a thick layer of NuFACE activator one section at a time, then glide and hold upward and outward along the jaw, up the sides of the neck and, with the Lip and Eye attachment, along the brow bone, at least five minutes a day, five days a week for the first 60 days.
This guide covers each zone step by step, such as:
- preparing your skin
- jowls and jawline
- the neck
- the eye area
- NuFACE's recommended schedule
and many more!
We make PureLift, a competing device, so every detail about this device comes from the brand's own pages and published reviews.
Key Points:
NuFACE's instructions start with clean, dry skin and a mask-like layer of activator applied in sections.
NuFACE recommends at least five minutes a day, five days a week for the first 60 days, then two or three times a week to maintain.
For the jowls and jawline, glide from the chin along the jaw toward the ear and hold at the end.
For the neck, work the sides only, gliding upward, and skip the front of the throat.
For the eyes, use the Lip and Eye attachment on the TRINITY+ and stay on the brow bone and orbit, never the eyelid.
Before you start
Cleanse and dry your face. NuFACE says to start with clean, dry skin.
Apply a mask-like layer of NuFACE activator to one section at a time, so it does not dry before you reach it. See our gel for NuFACE article.
Every figure comes from the brand's own website or listings, checked in October 2026. Prices change often, so confirm before you buy.
Jowls and jawline
Place both spheres under the jaw near the chin and glide along the jawline toward the ear, holding for a moment at the end.
Repeat three to five times per side. Work the area under the chin from the center back toward the angle of the jaw.
What microcurrent can and cannot do for jowls is in our sagging jowls article.
Neck
Work the sides of the neck only, gliding upward from the collarbone toward the jaw.
Skip the front of the throat over the thyroid and the area over the pulse. See our neck and chest article.
Eye area
On the TRINITY+, switch to the Lip and Eye attachment. Glide from the inner end of the brow outward along the brow bone, and along the bony orbit under the eye.
Never place it on the eyelid. See our eye area article and our NuFACE attachments guide.
Cheeks and forehead
Glide from the corner of the mouth up toward the ear, and from the brows up toward the hairline. All zones are in our zone guide.
NuFACE's recommended schedule
NuFACE recommends at least five minutes a day, five days a week for the first 60 days, then two or three times a week to maintain results.
A randomized controlled trial by Kavanagh and colleagues, published in 2012, measured facial electrical stimulation after twelve weeks of regular use, which is a fair time to judge results.
Mistakes to avoid
Letting the activator dry, which weakens the current and can sting.
Gliding downward instead of upward and outward.
Stopping after a few weeks.
Using it on broken skin or right after peels or injectables without your provider's go-ahead. See our article on microcurrent after other treatments.
Which NuFACE device to use
Both the MINI+ and TRINITY+ work for the jowls and neck. Only the TRINITY+ takes the Lip and Eye attachment. See NuFACE Mini vs Trinity.
Do not use any facial current device if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, if you are pregnant or if you have epilepsy, and skip broken or irritated skin. The full list is in our safety article.
